Outside users trying to use Outlook Express 6 to retrieve their email (POP account users)

WE have a SMTP server that send our outgoing email for our company. Last night we moved the server to another physical location. so all we did was change the IP address of the server locally and gave it a new external IP address, did the correct routes in our firewall. Users now can't send outgoing emails using our SMTP server, these users are POP accounts, using POP3 for incoming, SMTP for outgoing. these both reside on the same box. User gets their incoming email, but when they try to send they get the following error: The connection to the server has failed 'mail.xxx.net' SMTP port 25 secure SSL no socket error 10061 0x800CCC0E any help would be great

Hi there, Are you using Exchange server? Can you test to logon via OWA? Meanwhile, 0x800CCC0E means IXP_E_FAILED_TO_CONNECT. So please also run telnet pop.yourdomain.com 25 Thanks,Fiona Liao TechNet Community Support
